I love natural lighting and colours in my photos.
My style of photography is relaxed and knowledgeable. I like to make jokes and observations, whilst taking photos, to distract my clients and make them feel at ease in front of the camera. I always do a walk-through of the locations beforehand making sure to note the best areas within a 10-20 minute walk, so that every minute of the photo shoot is filled with a different backdrop.
Sagrada Familia, Barcelona Cathedral, Montserrat, Park Guell, Gothic Quarter, La Rambla.
English, Spanish (intermediate) and body language, sounds strange but this is one of the most important languages in photography.
Jamie is a Barcelona photographer whose sessions are built around natural light, easy conversation, and thorough preparation. He scouts every location before the day of the shoot, mapping the best angles within a short walk so that every minute of the session is used rather than figured out on the spot. His approach is relaxed and knowledgeable, and he is one of the team’s Special Arrangement Heroes — meaning he will take on requests that go beyond a standard booking.
Barcelona is Jamie’s base, and his recommended locations cover the city’s two strongest photographic registers: the iconic Gaudí landmarks and the layered medieval core. He regularly works the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and the Gothic Quarter, as well as Montserrat for clients who want a day trip outside the city. La Rambla and the Barcelona Cathedral feature in his shorter Bronze sessions when a single central location is the priority. His pre-shoot walkthroughs mean that even busy spots like Park Güell at opening are planned down to the exact angle before clients arrive.
Jamie’s listed coverage is Barcelona only. Sessions with him stay within the city and its immediate surroundings, which still gives access to a wide range of environments — from the Barceloneta seafront to the Bunkers del Carmel panorama and the shaded lanes of the Gothic Quarter.
Jamie’s defining quality is that he actively works to put clients at ease. He uses humour and observation during the shoot specifically to pull attention away from the camera, which tends to produce more natural expressions than directed posing. His style leans toward natural colours and clean light, with no heavy processing. He speaks English and intermediate Spanish. The Special Arrangement badge on his profile means he is worth contacting directly if a booking involves an unusual request — a bouquet of flowers, a specific surprise element, or a non-standard route through the city.
