Although, if you join a group, as a tour group member you get to walk right into the Louvre, so it might be worth your time and money to skip the wait! If you’re looking for an afternoon stroll, The Jardin du Luxembourg, known in English as the Luxembourg Garden, is a great place for strolling through one of the most beautiful gardens in this city, if not the world! Late afternoon is really a great place to sit in the chair and take in this wonderful site. The park houses several metal benches surrounded by numerous statues and sculptures, a perfect place to relax and enjoy a bit of fresh air.

Another iconic place to visit in Paris is the famous Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, located in the Montmartre district, sure to become one of your favorite in Paris. It’s so worth it to take a taxi to this beautiful Basillica. From the ground, it’s only 200 plus steps to the top. Just take your time. This area is beautiful, with great artists everywhere doing their art, whether it’s painting or performance. There are also many great cafes around, so you can sit around, find some coffee, drink some wine, buy a baguette from the street, feel the French-ness everywhere around you!
