The city of Gdansk lies on a harbour and holds stories from centuries of life. In it, you will find sculptures from the 17th century and stories of its reconstruction following the devastation it suffered in World War II. To see it as it stands now, would give anyone hope of a promising future as the city flourishes and shines on the Gulf of Danzig.
Most tourists find themselves heading to the well-known Neptune Fountain, which was built with a bronze statue of the sea god in the 17th century. Other tourists find themselves enjoying a nice stroll through the main town in the Long Market, where there is no shortage of shopping or dining.
The city of Gdansk is beautiful day or night and would make for a lovely holiday destination. It would also make the perfect backdrop for some photos taken by one of our local vacation photographers.
