Italy: the word alone conjures images of world-class cuisine, sun-drenched coasts, and ancient monuments standing tall after hundreds of years. One family used an iconic piece of Italian architecture as the backdrop for these remarkable photos.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Millions of visitors have their photo taken in the famous spot each year – and most of them all look pretty much the same. But one family brought home some truly unique snapshots of the world-famous locale.
Our photographer in Pisa, Samantha, recently did a family photo shoot to capture these amazing images.

The Tower of Pisa, also known as the campanile, is located in the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles. It is truly a marvel of medieval engineering. At the time it was built, it was likely one of the tallest bell towers in Europe.
Other fixtures within the Piazza include the stunning Duomo, or cathedral, the baptistery, and the cemetery.
All together, the Square of Miracles represents one of the most spectacular examples of Romanesque architecture in all of Europe.
Samantha’s eye for composition helped create memorable images where the subjects and location complement each other perfectly. The family’s brightly colored clothing pops beautifully against the stark white marble.
With the emerald-green lawn of the Piazza and a clear blue sky, Samantha and the family had all the makings of a beautiful day under the Tuscan sun.
