Solo Traveler
To celebrate her birthday, Serena decided to plan an exciting solo trip to Rhodes, Greece. This was her first time visiting Greece and Serena wanted her many special moments spent in Rhodes to be preserved forever. From the white sand beaches and stunning rocky cliff sides to charming villages and ancient ruins, Serena wanted to see it all. Local travel photographer, Magdalene helped document Serena’s vacation in Rhodes and as a local she was also able to suggest some really great locations to shoot.
Ocean Views
As the largest island in its chain, Rhode has some pretty gorgeous coastlines, but places with a view are often crowded. Magdalene was able to use her local photography knowledge to select the perfect serene places away from the crowds. Heading towards the coast to ancient ruins overlooking the ocean, Magdalene captured some wonderful natural shots of Serena smiling and taking in the views.
To capture the iconic island beach shot, Serena and Magdalene went to a stunning local beach to shoot. White sand, crystal clear waters and of course, the charming houses on the rocky hillside provided a charming backdrop for some close-up portrait shots as well as some professional full-length photos of Serena.
Beautiful Blue Skies
The beautiful sunny weather in Rhodes can make the sunlight tricky to work with during a photo shoot, but Magdalena navigated the area to find the perfectly lit areas. Choosing a sweeping grand stairway and then some beautiful ancient ruins, Magdalena made the most of natural light and shadows for this part of the photo shoot.
Serena’s gorgeous red dress provided some wonderful contrast against the pale stone backgrounds and captured some lovely memories Serena will be able to cherish for years to come.
Ancient Ruins
What would a trip to Greece be without visiting some ancient Grecian ruins? There are some of these picturesque ruins on Rhodes, which of course can make a great location for a photo shoot. Posing near the ancient stone pillars, Serena is absolutely radiant and poses for more shots on a grand staircase as well as a city wall overlooking the ocean.
Since Magdalena is a local photographer in Rhode, she was able to recommend the perfect spots for Serena’s photos; unique and away from tourist crowds. Finishing the photo shoot at a calm site overlooking the sea and mountains, Magdalena captured several more wonderful photos of Serena.
