The Surprise
More couples than ever are choosing to have their wedding and engagement moments photographed whilst on vacation, but it can be difficult battling with other tourists to capture the perfect shot in any given city. For his surprise proposal, Derek was looking for something a little different and chose Oslo, wanting the setting of the engagement to be among the beautiful fjords of Norway. Fabricia, being a native of the city, was only too happy to oblige and chose this stunning backdrop for his proposal.
Secret Proposal by the Fjords
That special moment that would change the lives of both Derek and his fiance was about to happen. The young couple were admiring the fjords and the sea below them, when Derek got down on one knee and asked his fiance to marry him. The reaction of his fiance and their spontaneous kiss, while Derek was still down on one knee, are emotions that don’t always get captured in photos.
However, Fabricia was there and from the sidelines was able to capture all of this and the stunning nature of Norway in their photoshoot. Proposing while on vacation in beautiful locations such as Oslo, made the couple’s engagement story even more special and having this photographed means that they can share their special moment with family and friends when they get home.
Newly Engaged
Fabricia then took the newly engaged couple on a tour of Oslo, ensuring to capture the idiosyncratic design of Scandinavian architecture that provides a backdrop for their happy memories. Posed and more spontaneous photos were taken, with the couple’s reactions of surprise, happiness and playfulness being evident in the pictures.
No engagement photoshoot is complete without photos of the ring and Fabricia ensured to get close-ups of the beautiful ring and a more candid photo of Derek admiring the ring on his fiance’s hand, while they were holding hands.
More photos were taken by the river of Oslo, with the couple laughing, joking and walking around just moments after they had become engaged. Fabricia also took photos of the couple holding hands in front of classically Scandinavian buildings, noted for their simplicity and minimalism, allowing the couple to stand out more with such a background.
