Love on the Ice: The Best Surprise Proposal in NYC

Millions of people travel to New York City every year to see hundreds of different once­in­a lifetime sights. The list is endless, but some of the most noteworthy are taking a stroll down Central Park or taking a ferry out to the water to see the Statue of Liberty. You can even take a travel to the crossroads of the world: Times Square. All throughout the year, tourists come from all over the world to take a bite out of the Big Apple.

From each edge of the city the streets are dripping in cultural history. NYC is the epicenter of many different industries, most notably the fashion and financial industries. It’s the most densely populated city in the U.S., meaning that you can meet anybody and everybody in the streets of New York. In New York, anything is possible: even finding your one true love.

Preparing A Secret Proposal

That’s what happened between Joe and his lovely girlfriend, soon to be fiancée. Joe decided that The Rink at Rockefeller Center would be the perfect place to ask the love of his life for her hand in marriage. But, Joe had another request that could only be handled by a skillful photographer: to capture this beautiful moment in their relationship secretly.

Joe enlisted the help of our photographer Lauren to take high­quality photos of their proposal. Lauren came to the ice rink minutes before the proposal, and hid in the crowd so his girlfriend wouldn’t suspect a thing. But as the ice cleared and Joe got down on one knee, Lauren appeared and captured a snapshot of the happy couple.

Once she visibly agreed and Joe put up his fist in happiness, the crowd roared with applause. The couple were officially on the road to becoming Mr. and Mrs.

The Newly Engaged Couple

Lauren revealed herself as the photographer, and suggested that the couple take more pictures around The Rink at Rockefeller Center. She captured the couple in front of the ice rink’s picturesque Christmas decor, with a gigantic Christmas tree and metallic ornaments.

The Mrs. was more than happy to show off her amazing ring for the camera, signifying their love for each other.

Later, Lauren took the happy couple inside a popular NYC restaurant to have a celebratory drink. Joe and his fiancée acted naturally while Lauren captured their most intimate moments. Their chemistry was beautiful to witness, as they celebrated these happy moments together.

Christmas in NYC

The couple then took on the city to see more incredible sights. Lauren saw some larger­than­life Christmas decorations in the distance, and knew that it would be the perfect place to have an amazing Christmas themed photo­op.

The couple enjoyed a warm embrace in the cold New York weather, and shared a lovely kiss.

The day ended as it began, as a showcase of true love. Lauren captured the couple in front of the “Love” statute embracing, heading on the next path of their relationship. Lauren’s photography and keen eye immortalized the couple’s special day. They won’t only have stories to tell their grandkids about their engagement, they’ll have high­quality pictures as well. That’s the best gift of all.
