Relationships can be hard: hard to find the right person, and often hard to stay together. So milestones like the one-year point are very much worth celebrating. One way to do this is to have an anniversary photo shoot, which Sinead did to celebrate her first anniversary with her boyfriend in beautiful Banff, Alberta.
Anniversary Photo Shoot Around Rocky Mountain Scenery
Located in western Canada in the province of Alberta, Banff is known worldwide for its incredible Rocky Mountain scenery, regardless of the time of year. Banff National Park is Canada’s oldest and first national park, and Banff is part of the Rocky Mountains Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town of Banff has a wonderful mix of restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, and chalet-style accommodations, not to mention the legendary Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Canada’s “castle in the Rockies.”
Visitors come to Banff from all around the world every year to enjoy hiking, incredible skiing, cycling, camping, and to relax with nature and catch a glimpse of some of Canada’s spectacular wildlife, including elk and grizzly bears. It was in this wild setting that Sinead and her boyfriend had their photos taken.
The One-Year Anniversary Mark!
To mark their first anniversary, Sinead wanted to have some professional images done. The idea is a great one as the first anniversary is a significant milestone in any relationship, and it is nice to celebrate it as such.
Our professional photographer in Banff, Nicolo, took many fantastic photos of Sinead and her boyfriend relaxing and enjoying their time in the rustic nature of Banff. The couple is seen walking hand-in-hand through a clearing, enjoying a hike along one of the many trails the area has to offer, and sitting beside a lake, enjoying the stunning scenery of the mountains.
Nicolo captured the happy couple at their best. They are obviously glad to spend this time together. Nicolo chose the perfect time of day to take the images with fantastic evening lighting – hard to achieve as the mountains make sunsets quite short – and the photos, combined, with the natural pigments of the surrounding landscape, are soft and warm. You can almost feel the mountain air as the couple sits in a couple of Banff’s iconic red chairs. The play of light and shadow makes for some truly lovely images.
Nicolo took photographs in different parts of the area, and from different angles, even using a drone at one point to capture a couple of unique “birds-eye” images, ensuring that Sinead and her boyfriend will have the very best pictures to remind them of their special time together.
Unlike many studio photoshoots, these images are not overly posed. Instead, Sinead and her boyfriend are free and natural. The photographs make it feel as if Nicolo was not there at all. They were simply allowed to be together, sharing their affection for one another, and enjoying their time in Banff.
