Charming Castles and Romantic Walks
The centuries-old castles and palaces are one of the main attractions in Sintra, and with each one featuring distinctive architecture and unique designs, you’re sure to find your favorite. Since Davide is a local photographer, he knows the city well and was able to recommend the most beautiful and special castles for Mitch and his fiancée to explore.
Secluded and magnificent, the castle was a perfect place to capture this lovely couple very much in their element. It can be hard to be natural in front of the camera, especially as a couple, but Davide put these two at ease, and they were able to enjoy some incredible moments and create some long-lasting memories.
As they discovered their surroundings laughing, holding hands and simply enjoying each other’s company, Davide was able to use to the natural light and the feeling of the moment to capture some wonderful natural shots.
Lakeside Lovers
Just follow the stone steps below the castle to a calm lake, a great location for a romantic photo shoot.
Mitch and his fiancée walked down to the water’s edge, creating a lovely contrast between their reflection and the surrounding greenery. Here, Davide skillfully played with angles and framing to get some amazing reflection shots as well as some photos from unique perspectives.
Just look at how Davide captured this beautiful couple sharing some tender embraces in a turret overlooking the lake. The angle is perfect for showcasing not only the gorgeous couple but drawing some attention to their surreal surroundings as well.
Love, Laughter and Light
Of course, during any type of photo shoot, light is a main factor which can make or break the perfect shot. In Sintra, there is a lot of lush greenery, which can beautifully compliment a photo, as long as the lighting is right. Luckily, Davide is an experienced vacation photographer and easily navigated their surroundings to find the perfect, soft light coming through the leaves above which illuminated the happy couples faces almost as much as their smiles did.
Simply enjoying a walk on the ancient cobblestone pathway leading down from the castle was a great moment to shoot. Mitch and his fiancée were full of smiles, laughter and their love for each other was definitely radiant as they continued to explore this magical city.
Stopping every now and then to share a sweet kiss or an embrace on the way back to Sintra city center, the couples coherent ease in front of the camera was easily noticeable, and Davide channeled this natural calm into some wonderful candid shots.
