Potamos River in my village is beautiful place to be in evening golden hour. The fishing hideout at the river in Liopetri, belonging to the Ammochostos district, is a narrow strip of sea which penetrates on dry land, creating a wonderful and secure hideout for the fishing boats of the area, as well as a beautiful landscape. Ayia Napa Monastery area is also one of my favorite place. The charming Medieval Monastery of Agia Napa stands in the middle of the village and was built in the form of a Medieval Castle around 1500 AD.
The monastery is partially built underground and cut into the rock, surrounded by a high wall. It is dedicated to ‘Our Lady of the Forests’, with the name coming from the Ancient Greek word for wooded valley (‘Napa’) as a result of the area’s past topography. The ancient sycamore tree in front of the south gate is believed to be over 600 years old.
