Love on the Bayou
Allison and her fiancé wanted to utilize the magic of downtown New Orleans to capture their timeless love. Our photographer, Katie, brought them to different places in New Orleans and took pictures of them showcasing their undeniable affection. Katie wanted to capture the duality of New Orleans for the couple, bringing forward the lovely nature of the bayou but also the authentic urban culture.
Along the bayou, Katie utilized natural light to capture close-ups of the future Mr. and Mrs. The effervescent blue skies and white clouds made a picturesque background for the couple that lets their love shine through the photo.
Transforming New Orleans
Katie transformed the urban, street settings of downtown New Orleans into many beautiful and unique backdrops for their engagement photos. With her unique eye for invigorating backgrounds, she took the couple places that no other photographer would think to take them.
She spotted a building in the distance with the phrase “You are Beautiful” and thought that it would be the perfect place for an impromptu photo-op. That momentous decision turned into some great photos in the heart of the city.
Later, Katie took the couple to a local warehouse with parallel bars along the top of the ceiling. Katie knew that the geometric backgrounds would make the couple pop against the scenery, leading to some photos of the couple holding hands and kissing like adorable lovebirds. Katie sees the beauty in the ordinary, and lets that shine through her high-quality photography. These photos are sure to stand the test of time.
Right before they left this location, the couple took a little dance break to celebrate a job well done.
Love’s Right Here
The shoot ended outside at a popular New Orleans art gallery. The photographer saw the vibrant arrows outside of the gallery and knew that would be the perfect setting for one of the couple’s photos. She took a shot of the couple underneath the arrow sharing a warm embrace.
Their undeniable chemistry transformed into beautiful photography throughout the day in gorgeous New Orleans, with the help of Katie and her trusty camera. The day ended with the couple having incredible, eye-catching photos to look back on and relive this exciting time in their relationship before they officially tie the knot.
