More couples are having their proposals photographed, but this can be difficult while on holiday. Mario found the perfect vacation photographer when he found Silvia, a Lisbon based photographer. Silvia accompanied Mario and his girlfriend to the picturesque and windswept beach in Praia do Guincho.
Mario knew that his marriage proposal was something that would be remembered for the rest of their life. It’s a story to be shared with friends, family and even strangers- everyone loves a romantic proposal! He planned a surprise proposal with a hidden photographer.
He brought his girlfriend to a lovely public beach so it would be easier for the photographer to capture “paparazzi” type photos of Mario popping the question. The photographer pretended to be a passer-by and captured Mario’s moment perfectly and candidly!
Planning the Secret Engagement
Mario knew the dramatic and photogenic beach of Praia do Guincho outside of Lisbon would be the perfect location for his secret proposal he was planning. Known for cliffs and white-capped surf, Praia do Guincho is a well-known beach with beautiful views of the Atlantic.
Following the couple, the secret photographer snapped casual photos of the couple having an intimate stroll along the beach. Once Mario reached the perfect secluded spot, he paused to allow the photographer to take the time to get the unique paparazzi style photo of the moment leading up to the big question!
The Proposal
The special occasion was captured as Mario got down on one knee. The surprise and joy of the proposal was captured against the dramatic crashing waves on the shore. The photographer captured the candid reactions in the moment. It was literally picture-perfect!
