Family travel can be really fun – seeing the world, and exposing children to new cultures and locations is a wonderful way to open their eyes and show them that there is more to life than our own back gardens. And when Joy and her family were visiting Liverpool, she already knew the best way to capture her family holiday perfectly.
Family Time in Liverpool
Liverpool is known for more than its football team and as the home of The Beatles. It has been a major trading port since the 18th century and has gone through a renaissance recently from a once rundown city center to one of the nicest cities in the north of England. Its Pier Head Waterfront has UNESCO World Heritage status; it boasts 2 cathedrals and the largest national museum collection outside of London, as well as Europe’s oldest Chinatown. In 2017, it was voted the second friendliest city in the UK, and it was named by Trip Advisor in 2018 as one of the top places in the world to visit. Perfect for a family vacation!
In addition to the “Fab Four”, other well-known artists to hail from Liverpool include authors Helen Forrester, as well as bands Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and Echo & the Bunnymen. Liverpool certainly has something to offer for everyone!
It was here that Joy wanted to have her family photoshoot done. She had a good idea of exactly what she wanted from her trip, and she hired André for the job. Knowing that Joy and her family were some of Localgrapher’s best frequent clients, André certainly didn’t disappoint.
Memories of Liverpool That Will Last Forever
It is a really great idea to have professional family photos like these taken somewhere other than a studio. While with her family in Liverpool, Joy was able to enjoy herself, all the while knowing that she would have some wonderful, professional photos at the end with which to remember their holiday.
André took several images of the family with some of Liverpool’s iconic sights as the background. You immediately know where they are! The photos, which include a bright red double-decker bus-come-restaurant, are colorful and fun, reflecting Joy and her family perfectly, and especially bringing out her daughter’s fabulous leopard print coat and bright pink scarf.
The very best photos of the family, however, are with The Beatles themselves. Sort of. André took perfect shots of the family “in step” with The Beatles Statue on Liverpool’s waterfront. The artwork was installed in place in 2015, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the band’s final gig in Liverpool. It is one of the city’s most photographed sites!
In true testament to André’s skills, he caught the family in exact step with the statues; it’s as if they’re all walking together. Joy and her husband even have their hands in their pockets, just like Paul and John.
