Just down the coast from Barcelona, Salou is a resort town on the Mediterranean where you go for the beaches, watersports and nightlife. Relax on the beach or spend all day in the water swimming, SCUBA diving and sailing all day, then hit the town for the world class nightlife after sunset.

Along with the famous beaches of Salou, you can spend the day at one of Salou’s crazy waterparks. The promenade at Avenida Jaume I is a great place to mix with the locals at the best shopping area in the city. See the amazingly intact Roman amphitheater in Tarragona, formerly Tarraco, which was the Empire’s capital in its Iberian province.
