So you’ve finally made it to Atlanta, Georgia and wondering where to go and what to see? In general, Atlanta experiences its peak tourist season in May and June or late August through the end of October, and we think this has something to do with the weather. While the summers don’t get high temperatures, Atlanta does experience a relatively muggy summer, on the plus side, the winters are relatively mild, which is one reason why the locals love their city.

Visiting Atlanta in Spring

In April, head to Piedmont Park for the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, where you can listen to live music, check out local artwork, and naturally, the dogwood in full bloom. Beware, you’re in the southern territory now, which means hearty southern food to warm your belly, even if the sun is shining.
