Recommended places:

My favourite place in Berlin is Berlin’s government district, where I live with my family since 2016 and have settled my photo studio. Not far from my studio is Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin’s most photographed landmarks which stands at the top of Unter den Linden, a tree-lined avenue packed with historic buildings, leading also to Tiergarten Park, the city’s green lung – just like New York’s Central Park or London’s Hyde Park.

A resourceful meeting place is Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn train station as it offers a great sense of Berlin’s urban atmosphere with is wooden passageway at the Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station. Also located within the vicinity of the Reichstag, Hauptbahnhof, Futurium, Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus and other locations on my photoshootings map.

Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders house in the government district, where the Spree meanders around the bend in the river past the contemporary architecture of Germany’s political centre. Evenings are an especially quiet time to experiment with light here. Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus’s construction itself sits right across the former wall and its form, with an architectural unity over the Spree that is meant to symbolise the togetherness of East and West Germany. Together with the glass dome of the Reichstag, they constitute a set of fascinating architecture that is 100% worth a look.

Within walking distance is Berlin’s Museum Island, a unique ensemble of buildings on Spreeinsel (Spree Island) in the heart of Berlin that was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999. It encompasses five large Berlin museums built under the Prussian rulers as well as a reception and exhibition building and the modern James Simon Gallery.

As a conclusion Berlin’s inner city, locally known as Mitte offers a wide range of photo opportunities that I look forward exploring with you.
